Morphology is the Binding Agent of English

Pete Bowers and Marie Foley have created an incredible, beautiful, thought-provoking video that explains Structured Word Inquiry’s foundational understanding of English structure.

This video does a phenomenal job of explaining why I approach spelling instruction the way I do. I don’t use drill, I don’t use brute memorization, I emphasize the understanding of concepts and the linking of those concepts across word families.
